The Bowen Technique is
a gentle form of body work in which a specific series of subtle moves are performed
over the muscles and connective tissue. This technique addresses the musculoskeletal as
well as fascia, nerves and internal organs.
Pauses between sets of moves
allow time for integration and healing to begin. Processing
can continue for a week after a session.
Long lasting results can occur due to the aspect
that the body’s innate healing process is activated. At times minimal intervention, and often only
a few sessions have been known to correct the problems.
Bowen therapy is completely safe for everyone from athletes to newborns, pregnant women, the elderly and chronically ill.
This technique can be considered for: back pain and sciatica, hormonal irregularities, sports injuries, repetitive strain (carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow), respiratory problems (diaphragm release improves breathing), digestive and bowel problems, balancing of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic/parasympathetic), colic in infants and bedwetting
